| BEACH VOLLEYBALL CAMPS 2008 SUMMER BEACH VOLLEYBALL CAMPS Download form for registration: beach vball camp.doc (63KB) Kick off your summer playing volleyball outdoors! Our camps are designed for boys and girls grades 6th- 12th with various levels of experience in beach or indoor volleyball. Learn the basic techniques for the beach game and have fun improving all of your volleyball skills. Each camp will include an overview of all skills, tips from the pros, training techniques that you can incorporate into your regular practice routine and a camp tournament. The camps will be directed by brother and sister duo David Fischer and Andrea Dowdy. David Fischer has been playing professional beach volleyball on the AVP since 1998. On the FIVB he has competed worldwide, recently winning the gold medal in the NORCECA beach volleyball series in The Dominican Republic and El Salvador. Andrea Dowdy is the former Associated Head Volleyball Coach at VCU. She played at The University of Virginia from 1997-2001, while at UVA Andrea received All ACC Rookie Team honors as well the team’ s Most Valuable Player award in 2001. Andrea has also assisted with several Richmond Volleyball Club National Teams. The camp staff will also include area high school and collegiate coaches, as well as local collegiate players.
